Don’t Let Stress Get To You

Your wedding is a very special day for you and your fiancée. When planning a wedding it is easy to lose sight of the big picture and allow yourself to become wrapped up in the little things.  One thing that I hear from a lot of brides is, “I want to have a stress free wedding”.  I scanned many stress free tip sites and found this to be one of the most helpful.  Check out some tips for reducing stress at http://bridalmagazine.net

One tip that this blog did not contain is that it is very important is to communicate with your future spouse.  Listen to each other and support each other. Take time each day to share something and enjoy each others company.

Support Yourself During Stress

There are many additional things you can do to support your ability to handle and recover from stress.

  • Get adequate sleep.
  •  Exercise every day.
  • Eat regular, balanced and moderate meals.
  • Avoid excess sugar, caffeine, nicotine, alcohol, drugs, etc.  All of these cause your system to ‘crash’ after the temporary simulating or relaxing effect.
  • Learn relaxation exercises or meditation.
  • Maintain your perspective. Talk to others about the stress. (Everyone has or has had stress!)
  • Make time for fun and other pleasurable activities.
  • Make time to connect with your partner and spend positive time together.
  • Don’t pressure yourself to make too many changes all at once.
