Prior to relocating to Los Angeles County in late 2005, Maya spent six years in New York, freelancing as an event photographer while also serving as the digital technician and in-house photographer for the fashion industry’s premier Photo Retoucher, Pascal Dangin. Living in New York City, photographing, and people watching until well, she got caught, gave Maya a diverse palate of subject matter and her experiences there inform and define her images today.

Aside from her images, Maya is best recognized for her intuitive energy and personable nature. She can be silent and unobtrusive, or vibrant with humor and energy to match what the mood calls for. In any given environment she captures human expression and translates it into a dynamic image and moving narrative.
